Position Summary
The Product Manager oversees operations of the MTI Product Division, including supervising support team members, managing key internal and external relationships, oversight of the programs and products, along with building the relationship with a community of practitioners.  The Mediation Training Institute (MTI) at Eckerd Colleges provides training, certification, licensing, and consulting in workplace conflict management to coaches, trainers, human resource professionals and mediators.

Essential Functions (other non-essential duties may be assigned)

  1. Oversees logistics including order fulfillment, program registration, participant communication, faculty support, venue arrangements, program delivery, practitioner support and education.
  2. Drives practitioner education and support through one-on-one communication, webinars, forums, videos, blogs, infographics, social media and email.
  3. Serves as the primary liaison with product authors and master trainers.
  4. Oversees process management and support of strategic partners. .
  5. Manages the development and updates for programs, product resources including online, and hard copy versions.
  6. Leads projects to develop new product versions, product updates and enhancements, research projects and articles in conjunction with the authors, master trainers, industry leaders and internal stakeholders.
  7. Ensures the accreditation of programs with professional associations and identifies new accreditations that increase the value and integrity of the programs with target markets.
  8. Coordinates P&L statements, income reconciliation and referral fees associated with certification programs, products and resources.
  9. Maintains referral agreements and reviews/approves quarterly reports.
  10. Manages third-party vendors who produce, inventory and fulfill material orders.
  11. Oversees website content and collaborates with key stakeholders on new content to drive initiatives.
  12. Collaborates with the Director of Business Development to develop events and marketing campaigns that increase interest, opportunities, registrations and sales.

Required Qualifications

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and a track record of working successfully in a collaborative, team-based environment
  • Track record of successful business development efforts with client organizations
  • Demonstrated skills in targeting and prospecting for new clients
  • Ability to rapidly identify and act on prospects' needs and issues        
  • Capacity to make connections between MTI offerings and the needs of clients
  • Flexible, adaptable with clients, colleagues and organization needs
  • Detailed, organized and resourceful
  • Ethical, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Ability to manage and perform in multi-tasking environment
  • Self-motivated, self-directed and confident in making sound business decisions
  • Proficient computer skills (must be proficient in all Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), Salesforce knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to learn new software systems and assists in training others as well as an ability to troubleshoot "on the spot" in high-stakes situations

 Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

  • Occasional after-hours work (nights, weekends) required for events held outside normal working hours.
  • Frequently required to remain stationary and perform work on a computer.
  • Frequently required to communicate with others in person and via email, video conferencing, chat applications, social media, and/or telephone.
  • Occasionally required to move and transport objects weighing up to 15 pounds.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree plus 5-6 years of experience in training and development, mediation, sales, and/or business development
