Eckerd College is currently hiring for the position of Accounts Receivable Customer Service Representative to join our accounting and finance team at our waterfront property along the Boca Ciega Bay in St. Petersburg, Florida, in our relationship-focused community. This position is responsible for handling all inquiries pertaining to billing and payment options for the Bursar's Office and providing the highest level of customer service to all college constituents.
The role requires the incumbent to possess a high level of skill in reconciling billing accounts and appropriately handling cash as well as knowledge of basic accounting principles. The ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is important to success in the position. The AR Customer Service Representative possesses excellent skills in oral and written communication and the ability to provide exceptional customer service to students and families.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process all third-party invoicing for outside resource payments (i.e. prepaid scholarships).
- Calculate and assess monthly late and finance fees on all past due student accounts.
- Generate monthly billing for all student receivables.
- Perform diligent follow-up regarding late payments due from all students.
- Resolve and answer questions pertaining to student account billing and disputes.
- Manage credit balances and process refunds as needed.
- Assist parents and students in determining budget necessary to cover cost of attendance.
- Discuss payment options with parents and students.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, plus four years of relevant experience in a cashier or customer service position. The equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for this position.
