Tenure-track position to start September 2016.
Biological Oceanographer studying pelagic ecosystem processes, to teach biological oceanography and upper level courses in marine science. Applicants must have a Ph.D., preferably with postdoctoral and teaching experience. Teaching loads consists of seven course equivalents per academic year, including a January Term. We seek broad-thinking scientist-educators who are strongly committed to training undergraduates in their own research program. Participation in an interdisciplinary, values-oriented general education program is required, including a regular rotation in the two-semester freshman program. Eckerd College, the only independent national liberal arts college in Florida, has a tradition of innovative education and teaching/mentoring excellence.
